Applying for a school place September 2026

We would like to invite you to visit our school before you make the important decision to apply for a school place for your child.  There will be two opening mornings on Tuesday 14th October and Tuesday 21st October 2025, 9am until 10am. There will also be an information evening on Wednesday 8th October 2025 at 6pm, During these sessions you will be able to have a tour around the school and meet the team.

Applications for your child to attend William Levick Primary School should be made through Derbyshire County Council. The link for the application website can be found by clicking here.

If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 they will be eligible to start school in September 2026. The admissions process opens on 10th November at 9am and will close on 15th January 2026. Parents will be informed on their place on 16th April 2026 by Derbyshire County Council.  It also applies to children who will transfer from infant school to junior school in September 2026.

Secondary Admissions

If your child is in Year 6 you should apply for their secondary school place between 8th September 2025 and 31st October 2025. Please see the Derbyshire County Council Secondary Admissions page for more information.
