Eco Team
At William Levick, each class elects two pupils to serve on our Eco Team. These children completed an application form and were selected for their enthusiasm, commitment, and passion for helping to make William Levick a more environmentally friendly school.
The Eco Team meet at least twice every half term to plan and carry out different projects. So far this year we have:
- Taken part in the RSPB Big Bird Watch
- Enjoyed a whole school assembly and Eco Team workshop ran by Energy Sparks, looking at the use of energy within school and how we can reduce this further.
- Ran a competition to design an Eco Bear, which is given out during our Friday assembly for the class who have made the best effort saving energy.

By 2025, all educational settings will have nominated a sustainability lead and put in place a climate action plan. At William Levick School, our sustainability lead is Mrs Peckett, who is also our headteacher.
We have worked closely with Cindi Blunt, Climate Action Advisor (East Midlands) from Let's Go Zero to develop our CLimate Action Plan.
